Six Athletes Set Records at Final All Ages Indoor
Five women and one man set age group records at the final USATF Minnesota All Ages Indoor Track & Field Meet of 2019.
Ardis Wright, competing for the Minnesota Distance Running Association, established a new record in the W80-84 200m with her time of 1:19.45. JoeAnn Jackson-Matthews, competing for Eagles Wings, broke her own 60m record set early this year in the W55-59 with a time of 9.15 (9.24). Susan Loyd, competing for Mass Velocity Track Club, also broke her own record in the W60-64 400m with a time of 1:17.74 (1:18.12, 2019). Jayme Wyss broke the W30-34 record in the pole vault with her jump of 3.50m (Caroline White, 3.11m, 2013). Alexandria Hill of Eagles Wings set a new record in the Girls 9-10 long jump with a leap of 4.06m (Allison Schafer, 4.04m, 2015).
On the men's side Jarod White, competing for Fleigle's Flyers, set a new record in the Boys 15-16 pole vault with a jump of 4.40m (Calvin Ciganik, 4.10m, 2016).
The final indoor meet of the season, the USATF Minnesota Association Indoor Track & Field Championship, will take place at the University of Minnesota Field House on Sunday, March 10, 2019. Membership in USATF is required and there is a late fee for meet day registration.
