Minnesotans Do Well on First Day of USATF Masters Indoor Championship
Minnesotans did well on the first day of the USATF Masters Indoor Track & Field Championships in Winston-Salem, NC on Friday, March 1, 2019. Taking home national age-group titles were RunMN's Patrick Billig in the M55-59 3000m with a time of 10:09.23 and teammate Kara Parker who won the W45-49 3000m in 11:00.27. Billig outdistanced Phil Roberts who finished second in 10:09.75 while Parker beat her nearest age-group competition by over 2 minutes.
Also reaching the podium were Jim Schoffman who finished 2nd in the M65-69 400m with a time of 1:03.41 and Rick Allen who finished 3rd in the M60-64 Indoor Pentathlon with 3026 points. Competition concludes Sunday, March 3.
