Minnesotans - Day 3 USATF Masters Indoor Championship
Troy Bellrichard of Spring Valley and Jason James of Shoreview brought home national age-group titles on the final day of the USATF Masters Indoor Track & Field Championship in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Bellrichard won the M50-54 shot with a throw of 14.06m (46'1.5") while James won the M35-39 triple jump with a leap of 11.20m (36'9").
Other Minnesotans concluding their competition were Jim Schoffman placing 2nd in the M65-69 800m in 2:32.58, Jon Dahlin placing 2nd in the M35-39 shot with a toss of 11.26m (36'11.5"), RunMN's Kara Parker placing 3rd in the W45-49 800m in 2:38.68, David Black placing 6th in the M65-69 triple jump with a jump of 7.15m (23'5.5") and MDRA's Rick Peterson placing 11th in the M60-64 800m in a time of 2:40.13.
Minnesotans took home six national age-group titles from the competition which ran from March 1 though March 3.
Athletes next opporunity to compete will be at the USATF Minnesota Indoor Track & Field Championship at the University of Minnesota Field House on Sunday, March 10. The competiton is open to all USATF members and meet information can be found
