Minnesotans - Day 2 USATF Masters Indoor Championship
Minnesotan Jon Dahlin of Plymouth earned two national age-group titles on the second day of the USATF Masters Indoor Track & Field Championship in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on Saturday. Dahlin threw 16.03m to win the M35-39 weight throw and followed that performance up with a toss of 10.05m to win the super weight throw. Troy Bellrichard of Spring Valley recorded two 6th place finishes in the M50-54 with throws of 13.46m in the weight throw and 6.34m in the super weight throw.
Kara Parker of Saint Paul followed up yesterday's national 3000m title with a second place finish in the W45-49 1 mile in a time of 5:40.52. Jason James of Shoreview placed 4th in the M35-39 long jump with a leap of 5.85m (19'2.5"). David Black placed 6th in the M65-69 60m hurdles with a time of 12.34 and also placed 9th in the M65-69 long jump with a jump of 3.68m (12'1").
